I started my 2016 - 2017 season in August. Customarily, I head home to New Zealand to play the NZ Nationals prior to diving into my PSA season. This year, we had the World Doubles Championships in which Team New Zealand won 2 Gold Medals (Go, Joelle, Amanda and Paul!) and a Bronze (Paul & I).

Since then, I came in 2nd at the NZ nationals, made it to the Quarter-finals of the Charlottesville, VA PSA tournament, losing in the last qualifying match in the NetSuite Open in San Francisco to Nicolas Muller of Switzerland, avenged that defeat a few weeks later at the US Open in Philadelphia, PA, and won the PSA Chicago LifeTime Open.

Straight after, I headed over to Cairo, Egypt for the World Open. I lost to Nick Matthew, 11-13 in the fourth- and will be working to convert those close games to wins, going forward.

Now, I'm en route to Doha, Qatar for the Qatar open- wish me luck!
